The first Black Woman to be made Honorary Air Commodore for the RAF and High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire

My parents moved to the UK from Kenya when I was eight years old and settled in East London. The English language and culture was completely new for me but it meant that to understand and navigate I became an observer and listener early in life, skills which enable me now to assess the individual needs of my clients.

I spent over 25 years working in the public sector with the UN, many non-governmental organisations and the judiciary supporting vulnerable people and their families in the UK and across Africa. Coaching was a natural progression from this point for me. I bring that experience, along with a solution-focused, person-centred coaching style to support my work with senior leaders and rising stars today. I also work as a consultant with organisations on all aspects of DE&I, helping them to develop, or to build on, policies, practices and programmes that address injustice, champion the rights of all people.

I see my biggest achievement as being able to recognise and champion the importance of diversity in multiple social and economic contexts. I work sensitively and flexibly with individuals from various backgrounds and with different needs to support and nurture individual talents.
